The third grade went on a field trip last week to Plimoth Plantation. On a whim, I suggested to Mrs. Lynch that she take an iPad or two along with her to take some pictures. When they came back, Mrs. Lynch was very excited about all of the things they had seen and the data they had collected. I sat down with her students in my makeshift recording studio out in the hallway and helped the students learn about an app called Explain Everything. The students chose a picture taken at Plimoth and put it on their own slide. They then talked with me briefly about what they were learning at the location the picture was taken. It’s making me look forward to my trip next week with the first grade to the Children’s Museum!
